    Great place. I love chef's. On a hot day you can sit in your car with your pet and they come out and take your order. So cool for my furbaby

    Small diner, incredible food! Quick service, delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and breakfast food.

    Ate many a hot dog there when I was working in Altavista. Long time ago (about 20 years), but still one of my favorite spots. I occasionally get a chance to go through Altavista, and always stop for a hot dog. Just glad they are still there. Also noticed they have added Alfresco dining in the front. Now I really want to go back!

    Down-home country food, good staff, and a wonderful, historic feeling. The special sandwich (I cannot recall the name) with chicken, cheese, and a fried egg is delicious. Also -- the cinnamon peanut butter milkshake is absolutely to die for, and I don't do sweets or cold things much.
