Square Fire BBQ

I was visiting my husband’s nephew in Doswell, VA for a baseball game and stumbled upon Square Fire BBQ. Found this place in a small shopping center and didn’t know what to expect. I ordered the half rack of ribs and they were so flavorful and juicy. My husband ordered the brisket and he absolutely loved that as well. If you are in the area and are in the mood for Barbecue I recommend stopping by!

This was an awesome place to stop! Not to far off of the interstate. Great food!

The Beef Brisket sandwich in the best that I have ever had at any Restaurant.Their Cole Slaw is very good also,but the Baked Beans need a little extra seasoning.The Service is also excellent.I got a take out order today,05/25/19-- I asked for Cole slaw on each sandwich,done of my sandwiches had any Cole slaw on them.I'm very disappointed.

Justification of my 5 stars:
1) We arrived close to closing time, 60-75 minutes, people working were happy and chipper to see us and eager to help us through their menu of traditional BBQ vittles as this was our first time visiting.
2) Our order consisted of 3 different combo plates: pulled chicken with HOMEMADE coleslaw; brisket (super moist and plentiful) with mac-n-cheese and a special brisket sauce and a half rack of ribs with mac-n-cheese and perfectly seasoned collard greens. The ribs were moist and tender dry-rubbed ribs that had the perfect tug. I opted no sauce and they didn't need it. 3) All of our sides were double+ what you normally get at other bbq places. Never quite understood how 2 tablespoons of coleslaw or tater salad counted as a side!

I think this small and quaint place has something great going on for the petite community where it calls home!

Awesome bbq. Got the combo platter which came with ribs, pulled pork, sausage and choice of two sides. The ribs had great flavor and meat fell off the bone, the pulled pork didn't even need sauce with it, and the sausage was amazing. I got the potato salad and collard greens. Both were amazing. Love seeing collard greens on a menu, just isn't bbq without it! The cornbread was also amazing, very moist. Almost tasted like a dessert it was that good. Very friendly staff here as well, they were very prompt and kind. All in all I can't wait to go back!
