The Blue Heron of Charles City

They have done a great job giving this place new life! We've had a couple of meals here in the past month or so. Really like their Oysters - crab legs were really good, crab dip has great flavor but could use more texture (i.e. crab meat), everything has been really tasty.
Service is great - super friendly. Great warm atmosphere... really happy it is in good hands.

The food was AMAZING! Love the fried pickles and the Club sandwich is to die for!!! The service is so quick and everyone is so attentive and friendly! Definitely will be coming back for seconds and thirds!!! ❤❤❤

They were very busy so we had to wait a while for our food. I had the She Crab soup which was very good. The Hush Puppies were large and very tasty. I also ordered a crab and cream cheese flat bread which was so-so needed more crab. All in all Blue Heron is a good place to eat and has a new owner. If you haven't been there I recommend you try it.

Absolutely beautiful setting! I'd honestly give it a 3.5/5 stars....the mac n cheese needs A LOT of work...it's basically noodles with shredded cheese on top, not good at all. Hush puppies are amazing with the honey butter. Crab dip was just okay, very creamy but wanted to see more crab. My friends liked their meals the fried chicken and the other got the crab stuffed flounder. They both hated the sweet tea. Waiter was precious but seemed to be a little overwhelmed
