La Michoacana Taqueria & Restaurant

Everything here is excellent. If you’re reading this, just go. My fave is the cabrito (spicy) pork tacos and horchata, but seriously everything is good. It’s been almost ten years since my first taco here. La Michoacana has never disappointed, and I’ve not had better Mexican food. Hard stop. Pic is of the carnitas because it’s a little more photogenic.

Really good food. Not much seating and not the cheapest place around, but made up for by the amount of food and how good it is.

Enjoyed authentic Mexican food rather than Tex-Mex. Pastor sopes were very good. Very casual atmosphere. The 1 drawback was that they only had flimsy plastic utensils.

Nice cozy place in a converted house. I usually get the tacos (Mexican style). My wife loves the chicken tamales. We had the guacamole last time and it was great. You pay when you order at the counter, and so minus one star for having a POS system that wants a tip before you are served. Happy to leave one on the table when leaving if deserved, but food is set on the counter and you pick it up yourself. I don't think anyone is working for tips. Sorry for the rant.
