The food was beyond amazing, there was a great variety of different sakes for any mood, and the service was friendly and attentive. I'm so sad that we're just passing through and not local! Otherwise, we'd be here all the time!
Met a large group of friends (disclosure: one friend works there) and they were very accommodating towards where we wanted sit. I also met the owner at a tasting of sake at another establishment and he was very nice. I would love to go back soon.
The sake and the made to order dumplings are super delicious! Need to plan another trip back soon. If you are near the area you should definitely take the time to check it out and try a sake flight. They have up to 6 different kinds to try!
My husband, toddler, and I ventured out for their Hot Chicken Takeover. Five stars doesn't do it justice! All three of us loved it.
We ordered a sake flight; my personal favorite was the Socky, which has some interesting notes reminiscent of fruit punch. Big Baby is also delicious and worth a try.
My husband ordered the hot chicken sliders - They're made with thigh meat and served on Hawaiian sweet rolls and are so yummy. The pickles provided just the perfect amount of acidity. The slaw was just okay. My husband says he would have liked a little more acid.
I ordered the classic chicken and waffles and shared with my toddler, so I ordered the lowest tier of spiciness, a medium. It's a thick Belgian waffle topped with a boneless chicken breast that's deep fried and served with a shot glass of warm maple syrup. It was absolutely perfect! My son devoured it. He appreciates a little spice since we haven't sheltered him from it, and he had no trouble with this. For myself, liking a moderate amount of heat, I would have ordered the next tier, but it certainly wasn't bland.
Service was quick and pleasant. We'll be back!
This place is so surprisingly good! As someone who has lived in Japan, I was legitimately amazed at how good and pure and smooth the sake is. Their flavors are amazing and some of the sake is like drinking water. They have done an amazing job with their process and making a smooth flavorful sake. And who knew that they would have five-star level food at this place? It is fancy and tasty! And the staff was so friendly and helpful and sociable I came back the next day!
