Great place for groups as it's always fun to order a variety and sample several things. Be careful as you must eat what you order or pay an additional fee. That's why going with a group is nice, if you don't like a particular roll, odds are that someone else will. My favorite rolls include the shrimp tempura roll, the Richmond roll, the volcano roll, and the sea angel roll. Not all of the special rolls are offered during lunch and the appetizers are limited as well. Lunch is only offered Monday-Friday while dinner is offered all day on Saturday and Sunday and every holiday.
They have combinations of meat to choose from with sides like potato salad, beans etc. The table has a selection of sauces to choose from to experience the taste that suits your taste buds. Very friendly atmosphere to include staff. A large choice of items to order from the menu and it was my first time their and I found it to be delicious. I enjoyed trying out all the different sauces they had at the table and the piece of cornbread that was on my platter was moist and the best I have ever eaten.
We ordered to go. The atmosphere was adequate. The establishment seemed clean. The sushi was decent (not the best I ever had, but by far better than grocery store sushi). The only complaints I have are: The sushi chef needs more practice with rolling and presentation, we ordered a family size amount of sushi and nothing was labeled. And the "take out" menu was hard to read--the small print is too small and too light in color.
For a place that's effectively a buffet, they do not trade quality for quantity. Everything was great and their specialty roll list is many pages of both unique rolls and common favorites.
If you go at lunch on weekdays, it's one of the greatest deals in Cville. The only downside is they don't serve all of the specialty rolls at lunch.
