    Great restaurant on the mall in Charlottesville. This is clearly a steak place, but I went a different direction and did seafood on both courses. The tuna appetizer was very tasty and beautifully presented, but the entree was the big surprise. The shrimp and scallop grits were amazing! I've never understood the shrimp and grits thing, but this dish made me a believer. Along the way, I stole a few bites of my spouse's filet with crab and hollandaise sauce which was also extremely good. It was my birthday and was treated to a wonderful cheesecake -- it wasn't heavy and dense like a NY cheesecake -- it was wonderfully creamy and incredibly satisfying.

    Final comment -- wine. We had a fabulous Chateau de Trinquevedel Tavel Rosé. RUN and get this -- it is that good.

    Lobster was phenomenal! The mushroom risotto could possibly be the best thing I have ever eaten!

    Crab cakes are excellent. Everything fresh. Service great! No complaints. Wonderful place for a dinner for two!

    Put this one on your list. Hired a limo for a family wine tour of Virginia wines. One of the members of our party wanted to see the Charlottesville Mall, so we stopped. It was 99 degrees and another person in our party was 89 years old. Get her seated and in AC was all I could think.

    Across the street was a place with white linen table cloths. I was wearing a tie dye t-shirt. Oh no, I thought to myself. They are 4 forks; GREAT.

    The check in desk welcomed us, party of 7, no reservation. I recommend this place, you can expect:
    - Food done well, presented in kind.
    - Consummate service.
    - Calm, upscale atmosphere.
