So far it is the best BBQ I've had in the area. Super fresh and delicious. We had a sampler platter with coleslaw and french fries. Chicken and ribs were falling off the bone. Pulled pork was divine. I highly recommend it. Prices are very approachable too. Bring cash only.
Btw all the trophies you will see there are very impressive . Tasting their food I know they are well deserved too
I planned a surprise birthday party for my husband at the last minute. Took a chance ordering from a restaurant I had never even heard of simply because Smokey Bones was too expensive and the portions they offered were ridiculously small. I must say I was pleasantly surprised from the superb customer service from beginning to end and my guests were amazed at how great the food tasted. Some my guest lived in close proximity to the restaurant and had never heard of or tasted the food. But unanimously everyone loved the food and said they will be stopping in to have lunch and/or will order for their next event. I gave this restaurant 5 stars for excellent customer service from the first phone call to picking up my order. Everything was delicious, ribs, chicken wings, brisket, baked beans and collard greens, the portion was more than enough and the price was very reasonable and very well worth it... I have never left a review for a restaurant good or bad. But I felt I had to let people know what a great experience I had. Also, I was given a free bottle of their special home made sauce. Thanks so much making my husbands birthday a success!!
Awesome BBQ! These are the small places you find that have the best bbq. The customer service is 10 stars worthy. While visiting from out of town I found Johnson's bbq. I had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Make sure to get them with coleslaw. The baked beans are very tasty. Their take home menu is printed on some great material. They only take cash, no cards.
You have no idea the treat you are in for. Out of this world ribs great baked beans and all piping hot! Couldn't get then any hotter if you made them yourself. Even the potato salad was good. Great sweet tea. I even bought a bottle of bbq sauce to take home.
This is my new go to for ribs. Don't take my word for it, try them yourself. Best smoked ribs you'll find.
And, I might add, they're from my neck of the woods, Columbus GA.
Been here twice now.. both times the food was AMAZING .. I love to park next to the smoker so my truck smells like it after!
Food ...service.... everything was great!!
If you haven't been here... you should go!!!
