Mikado Japanese & Thai Restaurant

I’m not a big sushi fan but my son wanted Thai for his birthday so we went. My husband ordered the flaming dragon sushi and it was amazing. Even the ones that don’t eat sushi loved it. The tempura shrimp were delicious and the pad Thai was delicious! The service was just as awesome as the food! Highly recommend!!

I was really surprised by this place. What a gem in the middle of Great Bridge! It's in a slow little shopping center behind a Sunoco and next to a nail shop. The inside is nice and cool with modern design. The host was also the waiter, though there's another person who grabs dirty dishes and drops things off as needed.

This is “our” restaurant! I had actually tried to go to a Chinese restaurant down cedar road, but after waiting 10 minutes to be seated and then 10 minutes and never saw a waitress, I gave up and came to mikado. Food is delicious, but what sets this place apart is the service! If we don’t come in as a family, they always inquire about the missing parties and show genuine care. We’ve never lived in a place long enough before to become “a local”, but we very much enjoy being locals to this place. Wish I could give it 6 stars!

I don't normally write reviews but I had to for this restaurant. The service and the food were excellent. The whole restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was great for a casual lunch or an evening out. I think I've found my new favorite restaurant.

Decided to check this place out to avoid driving to Virginia Beach. We should have come much sooner, This place is really cute! Our server Michael (although I don’t think this is his given name????) was super pleasant and very attentive. The sushi was very fresh. We will definitely be coming back.
