Pirate's Cove Restaurant

The she crab soup was FANTASTIC!! I was highly impressed with its quality and the hunks of crab meat. The hush puppies were also a big hit. Post meal the server tempted me with the special strawberry shortcake made with fresh picked, local berries. With the servers facilitation the kitchen made a smaller, single size portion just for me -

The decor is that of a fishing boat or hangout, with swordfish mounted on the walls and pirate statues. All of this really puts you in the mood to eat some crab cakes or jumbo shrimp.The staff in this restaurant is very friendly and the wait staff is speedy with the food. The restaurant also has a full bar if you like spirits with your meal.

The food tasted okay, but was not great. The overhead music did not fit the times, nor the decor. The pricing on the overall menu is higher than a similiar restaurant would charge for the same thing, in the same region. The service was the only really good thing here and their servers deserve kudos for their efforts.

Everything is worth trying once, but I can assure you that this one visit to try this restaurant is the only visit we will make.

Wait staff was knowledgeable, kind and attentive the whole time we visited. The food was plentiful and delicious. Seriously, we couldn't be happier.

First time here and it did not disappoint! Steam shrimp was perfect for our starter, clam strip dinner will feed me for the next two days and the prime rib sandwich was devoured by my husband within 5 minutes! Service was fast and much appreciated.... we will definitely be back
