So to start the food was delicious. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich came with yams and Mac and cheese with a small side of Cole slaw for the sandwich you can tell this is homemade the flavors and food were so good. My fiance had the southern fried chicken came with collards mac and cheese and the sweet potato corn bread allllll this food was amazing. Now please go here with a open mind that they did appear to be working with some server and time issues it seemed like the owner bartender and host were all over the place trying to help everyone out took some time had a nice live band playing outside. Just go with no concerns on wait times and enjoy whoever your with at the table and I promise you the food will be some of the best you've had!

My husband and I went to Soulivia’s for my birthday last month after seeing one of the owners & executive chef on the Hampton Roads. We ENJOYED every minute upon entering through the door. A VERY nice gentleman (also an owner) welcomed us and took care of us throughout our visit. I had the sweet tea salmon dish that was featured on the HR show and it did NOT disappoint.😋 Soulivia’s has the BEST rice & peas I’ve EVER had and the sweet potato cornbread was a BONUS! My husband had the fried flounder and shrimp and as u can see in the photo, portions are hearty and he RAVED about their spiral cut potatoes. The only downside was they were out of their Bourbon Braised BBQ short ribs. We were told that dish takes two days to prepare and about two hours to sellout.😳 Needless to say, we’re going back for those short ribs.🤗

What an amazing place nestled in a Chesapeake shopping center plaza. I appreciate the indoor/outdoor seating, lots of free parking, full bar, contactless ordering, and adjacency to bakery. The fish&grits were delicious and so were the scones. Check this place out every weekend for their jazz brunch. I recommend making a reservation on Opentable.com

This place is an absolute gem. Great atmosphere. Nice ambiance. Perfect music selection. Outstanding service. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the shrimp and it was top notch. All the side items were great as well as the sweet potato muffin that accompanied the entree. I got the banana pudding for dessert and it was made fresh to order. I highly advise u try that. I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch over live music. Also, I had the chance to meet the owner. He was extremely nice, courteous, and personable … and best of all he is a Niners fan. HA!! 5 star experience for sure.

Had the Cajun Seafood pasta. Overall, I thought the food was fine. My dish had a spice expected for a Cajun dish. I was a little surprised with the spiral pasta. Did have a good amount of seafood. All dishes presented nicely. Thought the prices were a little high in comparison.
