Pretty good barbeque! A little dry when I went the past two times, but still pretty darn good. The server was a little young and seemed pretty shy, which is fine, she just forgot to bring the cornbread out (which is too good to pass on). We just asked another server and all was well.
I would have given a 3/5 due to the dry pork and the service steering clear of the table, but the fried pickles and the other server raised it to a 4/5. Seriously, if you like fried pickles you have got to give them a try.
Love the food - drinks are good - great for when you want a little fancier than your typical run of the mill place. Prices reflect that it isn't run of the mill - but worth it once in a while.
Update - 6/16 - Still great - went for father's day. You won't leave hungry, Father's Day special was free cheese-steak egg rolls. Place was packed, but we beat the rush by about 8 minutes. More than enough food, dinner for 4 and a few drinks for $75, for top quality food - hard to beat.
This is the place for great burgers, BBQ, fried pickles, fries, beer, amazing food. The staff here is awesome and super helpful. The food can be a bit on the pricier side, but it's well worth it. Good place to bring a family, better place to chill with friends or dates.
Amazing staff! Amazing food!! Kudos to all the professional chefs and assistants. Pork is not all that is served. High top tables and bar available. Best BBQ place in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area. I am grateful for well seasoned food. and attentive staff.
I cannot get enough of the place. I have yet to have a bad experience. Everything is amazing here, from the hush puppies to the house salad (those croutons... And the lime vinaigrette??? To die for) the pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket are made to perfection every single time. You can really taste how fresh everything is. There is rarely if ever a wait, and the staff is really friendly and punctual. I get the double plate with a house salad and baked beans, and I recommend you do the same! Don't forget to try all the sauces. :)
