Carena's Jamaican Grille

The food is good. Unfortunately, the seasoning isn't consistent. Sometimes it's very spicy, which I like, and other times there is no seasoning at all. I usually order the same thing - curry chicken. I guess it depends on who the chef is. The service gets extremely slow once it gets busy. This restaurant needs to hire and properly train more staff. Several times I've been there and my waiter/waitress disappears completely for 20-30 minutes. There sends to be confusion there too about who takes orders, collects the payments, or delivers food. If they could fix this issue, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. It's one of the few melanin spots that I've ever been and I love the vibe. The cost is cheap as well. To be honest though, I'd pay more if I could get better service.

I absolutely love this place. Staff is friendly and fast. The food is amazing. The best sweet tea in Richmond. I just tried the coconut creme brûlée. I have a new favorite creme brûlée now. It’s the perfect consistency and flavor balance.

Always great whether dining in or carrying out. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is authentic. I have to have a combo plate of oxtails and curry goat lol, with a side of plantains. And, I have to order a beef patty and coco bread to go. The service is awesome to match!

Food is not bad. Great atmosphere and decent happy hour. Our waitress didn't want to split our checks so she gave us, a group of 10, one check. Told us it would be too much and take too long. Well that's your job lol. Recommend Queens for Jamaican Food.

Place is usually filled up, sign of good food! Great music! I was a delivery driver waiting on delivery orders but the smell in the air was great for me! Lovely place! I haven't ate here yet ... ????????????
