Milk & Honey Cafe - Colonial Heights

Ordered the Jumbo Smothered Chicken and Biscuits and a Peach Cobbler Cheesecake.

Portion sizes were good, which was nice given the price point ($30+ as my total).

I had some issues with the chicken and biscuit dish. The breading on the chicken was really salty, which made enjoying the chicken a little difficult without getting something else in the bite. The eggs were supposed to be “cheesy”, yet there wasn’t much cheese folded in at all. The dish was also supposed to be smothered in “Cajun gravy”, which like the cheese was barely there at all (mainly on the bottom of the dish).

The Peach cobbler Cheesecake was very nice, but I don’t know if I’d have it again at $10 a slice.

This place was AMAZING!! From customer service to food and atmosphere. We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had 7 adults and 4 kids, we tried to call ahead but couldn’t get through the phone service so we decided to just go in and we were so glad we did. The manager told us she would be taking care of us and she was AWESOME! She rearranged tables to accommodate us, she took our orders and the food was out in no time. The food was DELICIOUS, everything was seasoned just right and presentation on point, the portions were definitely 2 meals in 1. Shoutout to the manager and the chef for making our first visit to Milk & Honey extra special!! We definitely be making this place a regular. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ undoubtedly!!

I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and cooked with love and soul. My favorite is the Chicken and waffles and their grits. I definitely recommend the place. I can't wait to try other things on the menu as well a lot of the food looked and smelled great going to other customer tables.

Just the kind of cozy lil' cafe Colonial Heights needs. We were astounded by our experience and much of our brunch conversation was focused on how pleased we were with practically everything.

Superior service from the ebullient staff from the moment we walked in, holding their own against the busy crowd. The tables were full and the line was out the door, so they may want to consider a bench or two in front, for the grandmas at least.

My Chicken Sandwich was STACKED! Three glorious pieces of poultry seasoned to Lemon Pepper perfection and coated in a sweet Hot Honey sauce that gave me a serious case of the yumzzz.
