My husband and I have been waiting for Omy Chiq and Bar to open. We used to visit the burger place that was there before and were sad to see it close during the pandemic. We were not disappointed with Omy that is for sure. We were informed they are under a soft opening right now; so not all of the menu items were available, but the staff were very helpful in guiding us through what was available and asking what flavors and types of dishes we prefer. We started off with beer, wine and dumplings. They have a full bar with specialty cocktails as well. We then ordered the wood fire mala chicken and yakisoba to share. Everything was cooked to our liking and the flavors were awesome. We left stuffed and plan to return after the New Year when they have their full menu available. You also should stop and watch their wood fire grill...it is pretty cool. The staff was kind and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a great experience and welcome to the neighborhood!! :-)
Update 1/2/2023:
My husband and I came back for a later dinner after the New Year. They had a few more items available on their menu, but are still under soft opening. We tried chamisul fresh soju, rice wine, steamed shrimp dumplings, Buffalo chicken egg rolls, grilled corn cheese, and spicy back pork ribs. The highlight of the evening was discovering a Japanese whiskey we actually enjoyed, Kujira. It tastes more similar to American bourbon than any other Japanese whiskey I have ever tried. I highly recommend it. The dumplings and pork ribs were really tender and delicious. The staff was great once again. Thanks for another fun night!
Amazing food, very different from other restaurants!!
I had the wood fire chicken and wings.
Both delicious, and the radish is really good as well!! The sauces go perfectly with the chicken. Next time, I am going to try the back rib and tornado fries.
Absolutely recommend it!!
The chicken is undercooked and bloody. I specifically asked for the chicken to be thoroughly cooked. The guy promised all their chicken are cooked very well.
Don't go in when they first open. The place is freezing inside. Poor quality chicken but the mashed potato and gravy tastes good- that's it.
Stopped by for lunch today and really enjoyed the food. Smells great inside from the open fire grill. Seems brand new and the owner did a nice job with the space layout and the back lawn area, will be really nice in warmer months. Well worth a visit.
So good!! My husband and I stopped here after smelling the amazing wood fired chicken from outside and the food was delicious, service was excellent, and atmosphere super cool - definitely recommend!!
