Shin-Chon Sul Lung Tang 신촌설렁탕

This is the BEST Sullangtang place I’ve been to in the nova area and it’s such a gem for the comfort food feel. Service is quick and the food is delicious. The kimchi is also *chefs kiss*

You know it’s a good sullangtang place when that’s what they specialize in and their menu centers around - I always stop by here whenever I am in town!

Enjoyed my overall experience here. The soup was flavorful and the portions were huge. The kimchi was a highlight. The sullungtang was rich - I had the combination one and the tendon was out of this world tender. I added a bit more salt and pepper on the table and some kimchi juice. Yukjaejang was even better - packed with veggies and meat and the spice level was perfect. Quite busy on a Saturday early afternoon. Parking is bit tight in the front but more spots are available in the back. I would not recommend parking in the fire lane on the side, but a lot of people did anyways. Excited to go again and try other items.

Soups are so good and tasty, and thumbs up to the Korean traditional Galbi Jjim(Steamed Beef Ribs in sauce); it's a bit pricey but well worth it. So fortunate to have this restaurant finally opened in Annandale.

If you're seeking an authentic Korean dining experience, this is the spot to visit. They excel in what they specialize in - serving up delicious traditional Korean dishes. Although the selection of Korean side dishes is limited, the two types of kimchi they offer are exceptional. The broth is truly outstanding. The customer service was top-notch. This isn't the place for a fancy upscale experience, but if you desire genuine Korean cuisine, look no further. The seafood pajun was recommended by the waiter and was enjoyable, yet a bit overpriced in my opinion. However, the real star here is the 설렁탕 (white broth soup) - their specialty. I always stick to different variations of this soup as it never disappoints. A must-try for soup lovers!

First time here, and I love it! I’m ordered the galbitang and it’s a large portion that is packed with flavor!! I’ll be ordering more to take home. Look at these pics! The service is excellent too, super friendly ladies!
