My wife and I have made this our "place" for Valentine's Day. Reserve early, it books up fast. Tonight, we went just "because". The food is out of this world...GOOD! The staff is both friendly and fast. The escargot is my favorite appetizer. The hazelnut or choclate soufflé are amazing.
French country comfort food in an inviting setting... Never mind the loud nature of the packed dining room... It's just part of the game when the food and drink are this good.
The food was phenomenal, and the service was excellent. It really says something about a place when a simple potato can taste as flavorful as the ones here did.
Awesome dining experience. Reccommend the brunch out on the patio. Beautiful greenery and water features with a live classical guitar musician. Food was excellent as well. For the brunch the dishes are common fare but done well. The dessert, a strawberry summer cake, was divine.
The establishment is quite historical, been in the DC region for many years. Take a trip to restroom in the base floor and you will walk by old pictures of Presidents who were also patrons.
My wife and I have had dinner here many, many times, and we've always been delighted with the consistently wonderful food, excellent service and relaxing feel. There's really no where else in northern Virginia where you can have classic french food like this. We ate outside last weekend in the perfect outdoor setting. Tall trees, a view of the garden - it's an amazing place, a little gem.
