There are a lot of delicious options. However it is extremely packed and the size of the building cant really accommodate the line that forms. The bagels and cream cheese options are pretty good but nothing to write home about. The omelettes and sandwiches are very good. If you like supporting small local business then this is for you. If you just want to get the best bagels around, go to einstein bagels.
A great local spot for breakfast pastries! Sandwiches were a little more expensive than I was expecting but you get what you pay for - they are MASSIVE. I wouldn't want to eat that much first thing in the morning before a day's work - I would be in a food coma.
I ordered a coffee and it was the hottest cup of coffee I ever had - practically boiling in the cup and needed 30+ minutes too cool down, which was alright since my colleagues ordered sandwiches and needed some time to eat them. Great spot, I will return next time I am in the Reston area.
They were open as usual on this Snowy Sunday morning. Einstein's was Closed!!
If you like chewy bagels and fresh food, you will enjoy it. I have been going here for 4 years, very consistent, fast friendly service. Must be good always see one or more Herndons finest ????
I have only been here once and it was on a beautiful Saturday morning, so maybe that was my first mistake. The parking lot was crowded and the store was even more so. The line was out the door. I was excited that this was a sign they sold phenomenal bagels. As a former New Yorker I am always on the lookout for a REAL bagel. When I got inside and saw all the cream cheese flavors, I was certain this place was going to be great! I went ahead and ordered my 2 favorite bagels... Pumpernickel and Everything (actually, I prefer egg everything, but they didn't have it). The pumpernickel looked like whole wheat (so pale) and had no flavor. The everything bagel seemed like it lacked salt. And they cost 30 cents more per bagel than my favorite bagel place in NY.
I sat outside to eat my bagel (only one - bought the second one home for later). I got the last open table. It was not a bad place to sit and enjoy breakfast. I will likely give this place a second chance because I really want to like it.
