Came here with some coworkers for lunch one day. One of them mentioned of this new restaurant that just opened up so we decided to come check it out.
We walked in and immediately admired how nice and cozy the inside was. It was a small store with cute decorations, beautiful wall art, and smooth furniture that resembled Japanese culture.
We came to a ramen shop but I didn't order ramen. Ha. I actually ordered chicken karage. I had noodles the night before so I wasn't feeling them that day. My coworkers ordered ramen though and it did looks very appetizing.
We sat down at the high table by the cash register. Our food came out very quickly. I was surprised by how delicious our food was given the quick turnaround time they had. They gave a good portion size for the chicken bowl and the meat was packed full of flavor. As I was eating my dish, I was also glancing at my coworkers noodles. It looked yummy. They were slurping and chewing with so much enjoyment that I couldn't help myself but to look and ask for some of their food. But I didn't ask because I don't like to be rude like that. So I just finished my chicken dish and called it a day.
The workers were very nice. They constantly checked up on us and made sure we had the best dining experience. They felt very genuine.
I had Umai for the first time today, and it was SO GOOD. A couple of coworkers were placing an order and sent me the menu, and I said sure. I got the Curry Ramen, and OMG. it was brilliantly spicy and delicious. I would literally eat this every day if I could. I have never had curry ramen before today, and I am changed. This is delicious. The photo I'm attaching is after I ate most of it (sorry). It was at a point where the noodles were well absorbed into the curry ramen sauce(?) and I was like "this is too good not to photograph".
Amazing ramen place. Very good green tea. Gyoza was fantastic, and the ramen itself was phenomenal. Ability to do add ins to your ramen also a great feature. Quick service, and attentive.
Side note: rather than news, they had the food channel on. Best thing about the place, ihmo.
Fantastic !!!!! The best ramen in DC so far. Love it. The broth is so rich not too salty or oily .. just perfect and the chasu... Damn that thing just melts on your tongue !! 10 stars
Excellent atmosphere, very clean, and delicious food. The tonkotsu ramen is very delicious and the service was also top notch. Keep in mind that they are currently "soft-open" meaning they don't have their full menu. Even without it though, was still a great trip and I look forward to eating there again during their grand opening.
