My wife and I recently visited Sangeethas Bhavan in Herndon, Va. Our dining experience left much to be desired. The ambiance was inviting, the presentation of the food was aesthetically pleasing, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, the taste of the dishes we ordered failed to live up to expectations.

We opted for the Thali and Masala Dosa, both of which looked promising but fell short in terms of flavor. The spices seemed lacking, and the overall taste was underwhelming. Despite the disappointing culinary experience, I found solace in the warm demeanor of the owner and wished him all the best.

As a food enthusiast with a discerning palate, I am willing to give it another chance in the hopes that the food will be more satisfying on my next visit.

Best sambar in the DMV. As the prime accompaniment that elevates any dosa experience, I’ve sampled it at many Indian restaurants in the area and this place has truly nailed its authentic flavor. I’ve also tried their parotta specialities like Malaysian murtabak and parotta kurma. Will definitely be back to try chilli parotta, Gobi 65 fried rice, thali and more.

Chef Sasi has moved to this new pure vegetarian South Indian restaurant in Lotte mall Herndon. This restaurant was started by Mr Tarimala and his family who are from the place of origin of the Masala Dosi. I went there for masala Dosi and was not disappointed for sure. Masala dosa, also called masala dosa is a South Indian dish. It is a type of dosa and has its origin in the town of Udupi in Karnataka. It is made from rice, lentils, urad dal, chana dal, fenugreek, puffed rice, toor dal and dry red chilli, and served with potato curry, chutneys, and sambar. It is popular in South India, but can now be found in all other parts of the country and all over the world including here in Northern Virginia. In South India, the preparation of masala dosa varies from city to city. There are variations in Masala dosa like Davanagere butter dosa and paper masala dosa. Many of the variations can be found at Sangeethas Bhavan

As a South Indian in the DMV area, a new perfect spot to satisfy my cravings for authentic flavors. My search led me to SangeethaS Bhavan, and I can confidently say it's the best South Indian restaurant in town.

I opted for their tiffin combo, and I was blown away by the quality and taste of each dish. The chutneys packed just the right amount of punch. And let's not forget the filter coffee – it was the perfect way to round off the meal.

What truly sets SangeethaS Bhavan apart is the authenticity of their flavors. Every bite transported me back to my Chennai.

The service was also top-notch. If you're in the DMV area and craving authentic South Indian cuisine, look no further than SangeethaS Bhavan. I can't wait to go back.
