Visited Mar2020. A joy for carboholics. A plate larger than a sheet of letter paper (A4-ish), filled up to an inch (2.54cm) of partially flavoured rice with gravy, sat on top on which is the chosen kebab, a sizeable salad with dressing, served with bread and chick peas. Packed full of flavours. The pictured dish would feed three people quite easily (I got two meals out of it). Superb. Will return one day.
Welcome back! This is my favorite lunch place and I really missed them. My go-to is beef kobeeda on a salad, but the kabobs, both chicken or beef, are great, too. The highlights are the two condiment sauces and their bread. Not sure if it's the new oven or a recipe tweak, but the bread is even better now. I am very happy I get to enjoy their food again without a longer drive. Also, their service is very good.
Do not order online ... there is a Square page that processes credit cards but is fake. Had to cancel my credit card, but the restaurant was not very concerned about cleaning up their digital presence. Restaurant is "okay". I don't think they are the original Reston Kabob people. This had a pita, not Afghan bread, and salad, not grilled veggies. Lamb too garlicky and sauce tasted like mayo.
Food is good and its close to where I live. Just visited a day or two after their grand opening. Food was delicious. The reason for one less star is that I don't like dressing on my salad and I want to know if its just automatically going to come on the salad so I can order it without. But without any signage to tell me that, I have to presume it is going to come on the side. It did not and ruined the salad in my meal. Other than that problem, I'll definitely be back. The blended basmati rice was unique and delicious as were the chickpeas and lamb and bread. Recommend a visit!!
Went on their new opening day today! The quality of the beef wrap was excellent. The bread was fresh, and the beef tender. The samosa was solid as will. One of my picky coworkers went here for years when it used to be open down the road, and was telling me how it was just as good as he remembers. Highly recommended!
