Mandarin Restaurant

It used to be so good but now.. not as much. I was really upset because they food that was served was reheated and not fresh.. in the evening. The orange chicken was dry and hardened. You could tell that the white rice were old too.

It is very rare to find a halal Chinese restaurant. Their food was great. The place was ok, clean. The staff were friendly. Loved their Singapore noodles and sweet and spur chicken. The fortune cookie they offer with the bill is so cute.

I've been eating from Mandarin Restaurant for about 10 years now, and it has its ups and downs. First off, they have a pretty big menu with lots of different options, but some of those items are really hit or miss. Meaning, sometimes it'll be amazing 5/5, and some other days it'll be a miss.. a 2/5. Consistency is one of the things that keep customers happy. If I order fried rice, I want it to taste amazing (or at least how I initially loved it) each time.

Prices are definitely pricy for Chinese food but it IS also a dine in restaurant, not like your typical Chinese take out. And keep in mind, this is one of the only good HALAL Chinese restaurants and halal meat isn't cheap. The portions are a fair amount, about 2 maybe even 3 people can eat from an order. Although its not the cleanest and hasn't gone through any upgrade, its decent. Maybe an upgrade (after that many years..) would be nice, and some nicer seating and tables, but that doesn't get in the way of the delicious food.

Service is alright.. nothing too special or great. You get your order taken and food served. Sometimes a waitress may check up on you but its nothing to complain about. Overall, its a great family restaurant with a big menu so theres always something for everyone on the menu. Definitely do check it out!
