We ordered takeout via their website on a Friday evening when I assume the restaurant was fairly busy. Food was ready quickly and when promised. We all got different types of things: sashimi dinner, gyoza, a la cart sushi, and rolls from all 3 sections of the menu (regular, chef's special, and Taiko signature).
Everything was really good. All the fish was fresh and good quality, and portions were a good size, including the sashimi dinner. Rolls were well-made, and the ones with sauce weren't drowning in it. The few minor modifications requested were all done correctly.
Prices are fair. You're not going to get a major deal, but pricing is consistent with sushi in this area.
The experience of ordering and trying to pay on the website was a little bit awkward, and required me to enter my credit card billing address before informing me on the next page that I'd have to pay in-person at pickup with a card or cash. It won't deter me from coming back, but it is a bit inconvenient.
I would definitely like to see what the dine-in experience is like once restaurants are safely reopened.
The place offers a large variety of delicious food. I enjoy dining here. Staff members are always super nice, rates are convenient and the place is always neat.
Best Japanese I've had anywhere in the area. Very clean, excellent quality. Warm, friendly people. Relaxed and very cozy space. Will most definitely be back very often. ?
Food is awesome and the service is excellent
Decent sushi at decent prices. The food won’t knock your socks off but it was good enough. My only major complaint was that the spicy tuna roll was too spicy for my taste — and I generally like things spicy. Also the mochi was a bit on the bland side...too much ice cream, not enough actual mochi. The atmosphere was perfect though.
