Probably the best fried chicken you can get in the area, Korean or otherwise. Only downside is the boneless option isn't as incredibly juicy as the one in their Koreatown NYC location.
You get the option to have sauce on the chicken or on the side, which is great if you plan on taking some to go later. That said, the crust on the chicken easily stands up to any sauce.
The texture on their crispy fried boneless chicken is constantly crunchy even after sitting in sauce for a whole dinner. The texture definitely feels closer to southern American-style fried chicken than Korean fried chicken, which usually have thinner crusts that break into shards like glass.
We got the Pelicana signature sauce, medium spiciness. With the spicy fried chicken, there's definitely enough kick to make the pickled radish and cabbage slaw a necessary accompaniment.
We also got the kimchi fried rice. Tasted pretty good though it didn't really have much of a wow factor. Texture was also a bit soft/mushy for my liking, as if it were cooked with fresh rice rather than day old rice which tends to be a bit drier.
Tried original fried chicken with #2 sauce. Breast meat was moist and juicy. Definitely I will come back.
Forget the overly sauced chicken wings and order two servings of the kimchi fried rice, one to eat there and one to go. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Just keep in mind that seating is limited and if you do try the wings ask them to go easy on the sauce.
