I went here because I thought it was owned by world renowned pop star Balqees. While disappointed, I tried the food and it was superb! The bread was fresh as can be and the dessert was out of this world. Also if you have a sensitive nose just a heads up because it felt like I was walking through the Nordstrom perfume isle to get to my table. Went on a very busy night but was still treated like I was the only one there.
I’ve seen a lot of reviews that are saying the service isn’t great- and if your new being hesitant about this place... don’t be! Just a huge Piece of advice don’t go during the dinner rush. Eat lunch there! The food is amazing, so flavorful, the bread is fluffy and amazing. I suggest you try the haneeth. Best thing I’ve ever ate in my life. It can feed up to two people it’s a pretty big dish. This place also has great desserts. The cakes there are to die for! It can get packed, the only tables you can reserve is the fire pits the rest is first come first serve. I definitely suggest you come check it out, show some love to this small business. It’s a hidden gem!
This restaurant is located off Seminary road in Bailey's Crossroads. There's a bunch of Middle Eastern restaurants in this particular round about shopping center.
I can't comment about the food as I didn't order anything else but dessert to go. Seems as if they have a big open area outside with heaters for people who'd like to smoke hookah outside.
As I walked towards 1 of the entrance doors I was greeted by a nice hostess who asked if she could assist me. I told her I wanted something sweet like baklava to go. She mentioned that this place was famous for their "Saffron" cake so I ordered it to go.
Let me tell you it was the BEST cake I've ever eaten.
I should've taken a photo because it was presented beautifully. The square piece of cake as small real flowers purple in color on top of the frosting and was served with a tiny container of sauce to pour over it. What a wonderdul surprise! Ask for this if you visit it's quite Special.
It was our first time visiting this place. The food was very delicious however there were few things that could've been better like chipped/not properly cleaned tea cup. We wanted to do hookah but they didn't have staff for the service. There was only one server and she had to run in and out to serve us. I wish they were better staffed.
No complaints on food whatsoever, the bread was warm and so fluffy. The tea was really good and the chicken was rice was really really yummy.... oh and the hummus was really good too. Can go on and on about the food.
My new favorite spot!!! Love the vibes and food here. Their hummus qullaba is my new favorite!! Basically everything on the menu is delicious and probably the best Middle Eastern restaurant around here. Customer service is the best and I love the small family business hospitality. Super cool place to chat with friends and. They have WiFi and really good drinks. And best of all really good hookah :)
