Matsui Sushi

Authentic Japanese Cuisine for a price that you can’t beat in this area ! It was quite enjoyable having Ramen beautifully plated and even an after dinner refreshment of candied walnuts and melon! The staff feel and are proficient in their craft, I feel like I am at the heart of old japan! Very professional and the feel of the place takes me back the kinder days !

Everyone time I go visit, there isn’t many people and I worry that it may not be open for a long time! This place feel family run and for a mom and pop there is a lot of love in the food and care for the craft of making and presenting food! It is a must visit !

I see reviews that dislike the taste of new management that’s to be expected new chefs new flavors specially on a small place. I like the experience and the feel! There is always room to improve!

One of our family's favorite restaurants, from our 3-year-old to our teenager to my wife and I. I see a recent review saying the place isn't as good under the new management and I really disagree. The food is just as good and I like the new menu items, especially the ramen. Let's be honest; as much as we have always loved Matsui, their service has never been their selling point. The staff has always been very friendly but not all that attentive. You have to flag waiters down when you want something and sometimes give them a reminder. I can be particular about service but it's never bothered me at Matsui. I guess because they have always treated me and my family very kindly. The owners usually come out to say hi and make sure we enjoyed the meal and we just feel welcome. I wish the new owners much luck and success.

Was in town for work and found this gem while wandering the city. Sushi quality was fantastic for a fair price. I travel to the area a few times a month and will definitely make this one of my regular stops
