Barrel & Bushel

Great happy hour snacks, beers, and mixed drinks. Fantastic place for an after work beer or a date. Decently pricey, but it’s Tyson’s that’s expected.

Like going here for happy hour because the draft selection always has a few nice options and the tater tot appetizer is tasty.

Main complaints are that the bar is always booked by some company (put them in a room!) and that the summer happy hour is a sham because the HH deal is on 20 oz but they serve the beer in a 16 oz cup. ????

Even despite those major flaws, rounding to 4 stars because it's the best metro-accesible option in the area.

All said, I like The Barrel and Bushel - especially during the summer, with the wall open to the outdoor plaza - for drinks and bar food if at Tyson’s Corner. They have a great drink menu and a very unique, very eclectic, and very good food menu as well. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends.

Good atmosphere. Good beer. Great for happy hours. The chicken slider appetizer is amazing! Avoid the shrimp app unless you really like working for your food.
