Went to this location and had their tonkatsu. My only complaint is the poor proportion, in comparison to many other Japanese restaurants I've gone to in the area that serve much more for slightly less. That aside, their California deep fried sushi with eel sauce is a must have. In sum, a decent place to have yourself a nice meal!
This is the best Sushi/Japanese in Falls Church. The chef has been crafting sushi for over 30 years. Be sure to check the specials board for not your usual fare.
The restaurant has decent food like another Japanese restaurant. Then why do I give a five star? I lost an umbrella three months ago and could not find it anywhere. I happened to visit back this restaurant and was surprised that the sushi chef remembered me and gave my umbrella back to me. He said he had been waiting for me to come back to pick it up! For the attitude and care I received from the restaurant, it is a five star
Warm and cozy place for traditional Japanese food. The setting is a bit small, but the staff is very nice. The staff even seated a large party while I was there. You can watch sushi being made from the bar or enjoy the NHK Japanese TV channel being played. The Okinawa Soba was just like the kind served in Japan. While the Chicken Curry had more chicken and less veggies than I would have preferred, the dishes were all delicious nonetheless.
I've been going here for almost 10 years and it's one of my favorite spots. Their teriyaki is on another level. They make incredible, fresh sushi and I've been seeing the same few guys at the sushi bar making rolls for years. Can't recommend this place highly enough. I love taking people here and introducing them to this gem.
