The Bavarian Chef Fredericksburg

We rented out the back room for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. They worked with us on every aspect of the event. From color choices for the linens to meals and wine lists. They were fabulous!!! The food, service, and venue were perfection. We couldn't of asked for a better environment for this epic day.

I have been here many times and it has been consistently serving excellent friendly service and delicious food. The portions are large and they serve sides family style which is good to share with table. Desserts are the best too. It is in a very interesting location downtown historic Fredericksburg in a renovated train station. It makes it more fun. I will continue to visit again.

A fantastic and delicious lunch with girlfriends. Will definitely go there again. The desserts were ridiculously huge but delicious too. Couldn't even finish it; had to take it home!????

Can't wait to go back again to try more new and interesting food! I haven't heard of half of these dishes anywhere in Fredericksburg and it was delicious! Great beer selection too! And I honestly have to have great service to want to go somewhere again and everyone there was so sweet and helpful!! Super friendly from the hostess to the waitress to the food staff and clean up! All around amazing!

After 7 months we had dinner at the Bavarian Chef. Yup!!! You guessed, it was exceptional. I started with the stuffed quail appetizer and my entree was the Wild boar. The stuffed quail was so flavorful and was not over seasoned. Now if you've never had Wild boar, ya need to go to the Bavarian Chef and enjoy this dish. The gravy was such a great compliment, but did not over power the taste of the Wild boar. There is just a hint of game, which for me was perfect. Our server Karen was a delight and her knowledge of the menu was on point. I finished with the carrot cake. Wonderful finish!!!
