Very cute little eatery in busy downtown Fredericksburg. We were lucky to visit on a Tuesday morning so the restaurant was not very busy. The waitress, Molly was very pleasant and very attentive. Unfortunately they were out of cold coffee, so Molly suggested pour over coffee which was just as delicious. For breakfast I had the 2 egg breakfast which came with bacon, sliced fruit & toast. My bf had the biscuits and gravy eggs & potatoes . Everything was delicious and came out of the kitchen quickly. The cost was reasonable for the amount of food that we ordered. Everything about the experience was great, we will definitely be returning.

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had. I don't live in Fredericksburg and happened to stop there last year. The cinnamon roll/sticky bun I've ever had. I stopped again the other day on my way home to New Jersey and the first time wasn't a fluke. The best breakfast I've ever had.

Want an actual breakfast in Fredericksburg with proper, well-sourced and quality ingredients? Look no further. Cozy atmosphere, prompt service and great eats, I also recommend being patient and having a pour-over coffee. Worth every penny.

I enjoyed visiting Mercantile restaurant. It was my first visit, meeting friends for brunch. The food was excellent. And although small the atmosphere was bright and friendly. It is on a main street on a hill, so parking is a bit of a challenge. But it is a short walk from parking areas.

LOVE this little place!!! I had a simple avocado toast with greens and a fried egg that I can NOT stop thinking about. It was so yummy, filling and truly nourishing. I know that sounds hokey but I love moments when I feel super good about what I put in my tummy and this was one of those times. It was a total stumble on too....this whole area is super cute and great for urban exploring.
