Jack's Shop Kitchen

My husband and I stopped by with our 5 kids today. The ladies upfront were helpful and patient taking such a large order. The kids loved the huge and beautiful Belgian waffles. The breakfast sandwich and fried green tomatoes were to die for as well. The portions were great with fair pricing and the interior is bright and airy.

Do not pass by this little gem without stopping in.

In a small town with few unique eating options we were so happy to find out Jack's Shop was reopening. I have been in 4 times since then and the food has been mediocre at best.
The first time I ordered just a cinnamon roll and a drink. It took 20 mins and they brought it out in a to go box when I was eating there. It was cold and eating with plastic silverware was near impossible. Considering they advertised the cinnamon rolls as the special that day on their page I expected more.
The next time we went in they were out of the item I wanted to order. The last two times the food has been ice cold. Not the it was prepared and sat in the window too long cold, but like it came out of the fridge and they didn't microwave it long enough cold. It came out super fast as in less than 10 mins after we ordered so there is no way it should be cold.
We love the environment and the concept and we dearly want it to succeed. Even though there are no servers they should still have someone come by to check on the table after you receive your food.

We hosted our post wedding brunch at Jacks and couldn't have been happier! From the food to the service, our family and friends raved about it days later. Cant wait to come back and visit again!
