This place is awesome! If you are looking to try something unique and support a small locally owned place you must put this on your list of places to try. Tons of character overflow from this converted gas station from yesteryear and from Jake himself. Make the trip and support him!

Jake's Place, one of the best places I know to eat. It has a great menu, fresh food, smiling faces and helpful staff. I love the place. I had delicious shrimp and grits that couldn't be beat anywhere! My husband had Soft Shell Crab and a Crabcake. He was happy! Thanks for having us! We'll be back soon!

I live about an hour from Jake's Place but willingly make the drive regularly for some of the best Southern food and atmosphere to be found in these here parts! Wendy and John are warm, personable hosts who make you feel like you're dining in their home. Do check their hours before making the trip because you don't want to drive up and find them closed and not be able to enjoy their delicious food. That would just be so sad.

This place is AWESOME! Great southern service, great food, great atmosphere! I love this place and have been back many times! The food is absolutely wonderful and huge portions with great prices. Love the wine and beer selection. I definitely recommend this place for lunch, dinner, and/or catering!

Brisket was fantastic. Ribs were best anyone at the table has had in 5 years. Great beer selection and as silly as it sounds ... Lots of napkins

Incredibly attentive staff made sure our thirsts we're quenched and bellies full. Our group of thirteen was thoroughly impressed. Talking with the owners before and after... They love what they do and love making customers smile.
