What a fantastic Father's day fest at the Tavern. Great food, activities and fun stuff for dads! And a thank you to Virginia Beer Co too......tried some excellent new beers and found a new favorite. Blood orange IPA - yum!

We had a fantastic experience with Hanover Tavern for our three-times-scheduled wedding. The event coordinators are fantastic - calm, organized, and knowledgeable. The coach house space is gorgeous and clean and guests love it. The food is good too! All staff we engaged with during visits and our event were lovely. And the courthouse across the street makes for an unbeatable photo op. Thank you, Tammy and team, for helping us have one perfect party!

Historical site of Washington, Cornwallis and Henry. Beautifully maintained and preserved. The tavern serves food which is fresh and well prepared. Service is excellent! There are guided tours offered or you can do an audio tour or just walk through on your own if you prefer.

We had the best experience with The Hanover Tavern. We had our wedding there on 12/11/21. We worked hand in hand with Tammy and her team. From the beginning, Tammy and her team were fantastic to work with. She understood our vision for our wedding and created a seamless experience.

Our wedding theme was Christmas, as our wedding was in December. My mom and I got the decorations together but Ultimately, Tammy and her team created a master piece. It felt like a Hallmark Christmas Wedding. We even had an appearance from Santa!

5. The Location. Located right off of Courthouse Rd, You'll find the tavern in a quite area. It allows you to enjoy your day without worrying if you're being too loud to surrounding areas.
6. Worked for our budget.
7. Fits up to 200 People. We had about 120 people not including our Vendors and staff and it was the PERFECT amount.

The History of the Tavern provided a beautiful yet rustic vibe. Everything from inside the Tavern, where the bridal party gets ready, to the Court yard and coach house. This quaint venue really fulfilled our dream wedding.

Fried oysters here are delish, as is the fried shrimp and oyster po boy. I'd never had she crab soup before, but theirs is incredibly good. It was such fun to have drinks and food in an old tavern. So much character, so much fun.
