Choong Man Chicken

We were very excited to see this place pop up out of nowhere. Flavor is great, but it seems to be missing a little crunch. I’ve only tried the tenders, maybe the wings or whole chicken have the crunch. The red hot pepper is deliciously hot, and it’s a good heat. My wife who doesn’t like spicy food thinks the soy garlic is the limit for her spicy level (I don’t even taste a hint of spiciness so ?‍♂️).

Since I’ve ordered here twice this week, I think it deserves 5 stars.

If you like Bon Chon chicken wings, you’ll love this. Actually, they also have a larger variety of flavors. Drawback from that is they don’t have any dishes other than chicken so not quite your traditional Korean fare. (Harrisonburg is in dire need of that but that’s a topic for another time) The food was interesting and delicious. We got dishes that came with onion which add interesting flavor but I’ll probably stick to a more simple dish next time. Really hope they work out because the nearest Bonchon is in Richmond or Nova and I absolutely love this style of chicken! Only drawback was the slow service but that’s to be expected with this style of restaurant.

Ordered the spicy garlic and garlic soy, both were amazing! The creamed corn side was amazing. Definitely recommend this place for a chicken fix. Bonus: they’re open Sunday’s!

The chicken was amazing, the staff was super friendly, and they even threw in some extras on the house!
