Hobnob

Derrick was pretty great and had good drink and food recommendations for us, very personable. My wife is a self-proclaimed shrimp n grits connoisseur (being from SC) and enjoyed the offering at Hobnob. I wouldn’t sit outside as the flies come after you - but that’s hardly the restaurants fault. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items as they all looked tasty from their descriptions.

Hard to beat the service at Hobnob. The menu is FULL of things you will enjoy. I also recommend the bourbon honey ginger cocktail. I ordered the porterhouse med rare and it came well done. Thomas (our waiter) took it back and brought back a perfect stake and comped a desert for me. I never had to make a fuss, they just handed it. I recommend here: Shrimp and Grits, Chicken and Waffles, Smoked Trout dip.

The location is convenient and the food is really good. The shrimp and grits are delicious. Service was not the best on my last visit, we were sort of an afterthought it seemed, but on every other visit, the service has been great. Desserts are over the top visually so be prepared to be tempted. They are yummy but not "blow your mind good". It is a small restaurant with tightly packed tables. So maybe not the place for a conversation you don't want overheard. Overall, a great meal out.

Several friends and I felt this lunch was fabulous. The food was fresh and appealing, the menu had great choices. When our food arrived very quickly, the serving size allowed us to take home enough food for another meal. The cakes pies, cheesecake and other equisate choices are freshly made. Some of discussed at the next visit to order cake for our entrees and then another cake for dessert. The dessert serving size of our cakes was enough for two people to share. Wow, what a treat.
