Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken

The chicken and waffles were really good. The chicken strips are moist and taste really good. I tried the hot and it was really hot so next time I am going to try the medium heat.

The food took me by surprise. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be this good! Everything was fresh and picturesque! I went back in and was able to speak to the owner's nephew. A very respectful young man who was pleased to hear how much I enjoyed my meal. I hope they stick with this level of service, if so I'll definitely be a regular customer!

This is legit hot chicken. Other places have claimed to have Nashville hot chicken and none of them do it the right way.

It’s not an every day kind of place… as tempting as it is. One of the only places in the area that has legit Nashville hot chicken.

Try it if you’re curious about hot chicken, love it if you’re a chicken lover.

I was super excited to see a new restaurant around the corner from my house.
This place has a wide range of spice levels but you can also get no spice too.
I ordered the chicken sandwich - mild. First of all it was huge, I mean it was hanging off the bread, and... there was nothing mild about it. It's so spicy, so I can only imagine how hot the higher levels are.
I must say the chicken was cooked juicy and delicious. It had cole slaw on it and the waffle fries were hot and tasty too. The only thing that wasn't good was the lemonade. It tasted like water with a splash of lemon and no sugar. I brought it to the staffs attention so they could fix it.
Overall, this place was great. My one wish is that they offer plant based chicken too. Maybe one day?

If you love fried chicken sandwiches, especially ones that can pack the heat, you've got to try this place. Just be careful which spice level you choose. I have a very high tolerance for spice and spice level "hot" was really spicy for me. I doubt most people could've eaten it, but I enjoyed the burn. I may try medium next time just to compare. The size of the chicken breast is really big and the slaw, pickles, and sauce compliment it well. I recommend ordering online to minimize wait time. There are a few tables inside, but it's definitely more of a take-out place. I hope this place does well because it's a nice addition to the area.
