This is a great place after any sporting event. If you go with a team they know how to handle all the orders and they are very good of keeping track. They have an extensive menu and plenty of staff that are working. Every night you can find someone to get your order placed and find seating. They cater to the local audience with jerseys and sports decor all over the walls. I would say the only downside is the food itself. It’s not incredible but it is still okay. If you get what you like, then you will leave full and happy. It is worth the drive if you are sort of nearby and plenty of high schools in the area will often have their post-game dinners here.
I've been here several times even though I live 50-miles east of Richmond (I stop in when visiting a friend). I've dined in, sat at the bar and I've had take-out. I really, really like the food - especially the wings. The side dishes are great, too. And Kenny (bartender) is nice & friendly.
So why 4 stars instead of 5? Horrible 80s music! This morning I honestly & seriously awoke to the last song I heard yesterday at Glory Days buzzing through my brain. Please, play classic rock ... or country ... 90s would be okay ... even the contemporary music of today. But the 80s music played at Glory Days is awful.
In summary: great food, horrible music ;)
I was pleasantly surprised to see they had The Beyond Burger and Cauliflower Wings. For this WFPB gal I was thrilled! Not oil free but for this special occasion I was good to go!
I got take out. A Beyond burger which was cooked perfectly on a nice bun with carmelized onions. Everything was just right. Also quick and very pleasant service. Will definitely return.
I am a regular visitor at glory days grill. Everyone is friendly, and seems to genuinely care about the service you're receiving.
The food is priced appropriately and they have great standard dishes for a sports bar and grill.
My favorites in no particular order being the ribs the wings and the burgers. And be sure to try the glory sauce!
