Skrimp Shack

Love me my Skrimp Shack! Food is always hot and fresh, employees are friendly and responsive. Only gripe is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, the days I add always want shrimp lol.

I came here with my family about 2 weeks ago. I'm from North Carolina and never heard of this place till not Virginian family suggested it. Boy am I glad they did! It was clean on the inside. I can tell they keep up with the place. The food was on point, really good! I loved the fact that the shrimp was flavorful and not greasy!!!! We even came back the next day with more family to try and I just recently found out that they have one in North Carolina!!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because both times we came you could see the disappointment from staff members that we came close to closing. Though you may be closing in 10 15 minutes the doors are still open and they should not allow customers to see frustrations. That's my only negative, other than that food was great and I will be back.

Great food. Everything was cooked to order and came out hot. The food was seasoned to perfection and not overcooked. The starter and cocktail were amazing
The tables were stocked with all the right sauces and seasoning. The tea was a little off but that was ok because everything else was so delicious.

I love this place. I have been here several times and every time the food is awesome. Fish sandwiches are 3/4lb and about $7 for cod or whiting. The hush puppies are the best in town and the clam chowder is awesome. Another great piece that may sound weird is the tarter sauce. Some places have tarter that taste like it was made with miracle whip. Not this place, their tarter is awesome. Other items like the shrimp and crab cakes are good but not as good as the fish sandwich. They offer pleanty of side options like fries, sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese, fried okra, and more. If you like fried fish you won't be disappointed.
