Great food. Particularly the ham biscuits. Their square flat biscuits are very different than those you get at most restaurants. Add the country ham and they are nothing short of delicious.

Reminds me of brunch at my grandmother's! Really makes you feel at home and they have the best Brunswick stew! Check out the store, it has so many interesting finds!

A unique experience for old southern Virginia food. The Miss Melinda Special is the classic dish. Comes with iced tea, an interesting fruit salad of half peach, a pineapple slice, cheese, and mayo, Brunswick stew, ham and biscuit sandwich, and a pie slice. The stew and sandwich was very tasty. I had the buttermilk pie. Pretty good. Could have used a slight dusting of powder sugar.

Nice enough place with a great charming feel. The food was all right but not as much of a wow factor as other reviewers seemed to indicate. We had a very attentive server who was a lot of fun. The price/quality ratio wasn't great, but the experience was good. Also, the restaurant's store was very enjoyable to browse through. I believe my wife and sister both bought some interesting stuff there.

Love this place. Food is delicious and the staff are great! The house is charming and the dining area is a step back in time. We were surprised and delighted by the gift shop. This was our second visit, it's quickly becoming a regular stop when we visit this area.
