National Pancake & Waffle House

Good atmosphere. Food was excellent. Just loved the place. Will visit again when we are in Williamsburg

Out of the many, many colonial triangle breakfast restaurants, this one is our favourite. Home-y, clean, and friendly, fast service and good food. Some well-done Mexican-inspired dishes (like huevos rancheros) bring a taste of my Texas home state up to Virginia. Not usually very busy, even on a Sunday morning, with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

My husband and I visited the National Pancake & Waffle House on Saturday,
June 1st, 2019 for breakfast. We were both very satisfied with our order of Belgium Waffles with a side order of bacon. The waffles were perfect and the bacon was very crispy and non greasy. Just the way we both like it. The restaurant has a very good selection of meals and there's something for everyone. The server was attentive and the cashier was very helpful. It was good experience. ????????

I wouldn't go out of my way to get to this restaurant but it was OK to stop on the way to Busch Gardens. The food was hot, and it was fast. The eggs for the omelette tasted like a mix not fresh. Hashbrowns were under cooked and mushy. However, the server was really nice and overly accommodating.

Food was decent but it was slow to come out on a relatively slow morning . The food was obviously left to sit too long in the back area while other parts of order were still being cooked.

Service was really good. Waitress was pleasant and friendly. Since food was delayed, toast was kind of hard and Belgian waffles were a tad bit soggy . But I would give them another shot because the food was actually pretty good otherwise.
