Bilstad's Beignets

Bought a dozen beignets for the family this morning and everybody LOVED them!
So soft and fluffy, but with great flavor!
We also tried three dipping sauces and the gingerbread flavor was a big hit!

The owner is very sweet, that was the first thing I noticed and adored. His place of business is also clean, and the beignets (very fresh) and beverages are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I will be coming back and letting my friends and family know. Hopefully he’ll be able to expand his business along the way. So happy to have a great business in Ashburn.

Oh yea, I'll be back for more. Always wanted to try one and these lived up to the hype! So pillowy, and that caramel bourbon dipping sauce, and lemon custard(I think)! A tad on the sweet side; I'd be interested to try one without the traditional powdered sugar. But no joke, I could have eaten all 6. Sharing is caring though, right?

Today I caved in to my need for sugar and picked Bilstad's Beignets to dive into! 😋 It was tough to decide but I ended up getting the combo (which is 6 beignets and 3 dipping sauces) so I could share. Never had a beignet before so the melt in your mouth taste was unforgettable! Even better with the fudge sauce. Amazing!

We had the Bilstad's Beignets and they're really good. We've had Louisiana beignets (Café du Monde) and Texas beignets (there are several places in Houston area). These are up there in terms of texture, softness, and being very airy. The best thing about the beignets are you can reheat them and they still tasted great. Other places, you'd have to eat them right away. Can't reheat them or freeze them. After we reheat them, we sprinkle with more powdered sugar as they tend to melt when they're stored too long in the bag as well as being in the toaster oven.

$8 for 6 beignets.

My youngest LOVES these so much.
