“I just took the basic pistol certification course. It was a great course for me. All I knew about pistols was that the pointy end faced the target. The instructor Cati was great and made the 4 hours fly by, Her knowledge of firearms is massive. The facility is top notch and the staff is very helpful and are willing to answer all of your questions about firearms. Since my membership is just for shooting I do not use the fitness part of the club but it is state of the art with its equipment and offers all sort of group exercise classes. We really enjoyed meeting the assistant manager Grace she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She showed us around the restaurant and bar portion of the club which is very sheik and the food is fantastic. After taking the basic pistol course I feel more confident while using a semi automatic pistol. I look forward to my next visit to X-Cal to shoot on my own and take some of the more advanced classes.”

“Have been waiting for VA Kabob House to open, and it's finally here. I picked up 2 combo meals, 2 separate salads and bread. The bread was very good, and the green sauce was spicy. Not sure what the white sauce is.. ranch maybe? The salads were big but I'm not a fan of having the dressing pre-mixed in. I prefer to add when I eat so the salad doesn't go soggy meanwhile. The dressing itself was pretty weak and didn't have a lot of taste. Might just skip that next time. The kabobs were great. We had a lamb and chicken and a lamb and beef. They come with rice, a small bit of salad and tasty, tasty chickpeas. I might order more chickpeas next time. All 3 meats were plentiful and tasty, perfectly cooked. There was a small seating area inside, if you are so inclined.”

“The fact that this place has anything less than 5 stars is disturbing. If I could give 100 stars, I would. Not my first experience at SD but my 1st in Ashburn and let me just say I couldn't have been happier. This food was phenomenal, like always. It should actually be illegal to have food this good. The service was amazing. The bar tender, Richard (as I yell "Hey you" across the bar to ask his name) was hilarious, polite, and made excellent drinks. So excellent in fact that I'm glad my phone has auto-correct😏 The staff were attentive to my needs. Our food was served promptly, although I can honestly say I waiting about 5 minutes longer than I would have preferred for my appetizer. There are not enough stars in the sky to rate this place, their food, and their staff. Always amazing food. Always amazing service. It's not the Five and Dine, but it's perfect for VA.”
