My wife and I have visited Em Oi four times now. Ryan the owner is a great host and has spent the time to educate us on the inspiration of his dishes. We have tried several items on the menu from the refreshing papaya salad, the delicious oysters with lemon grass, herbs and chili, and we dove into multiple meat dishes. All of the meat dishes we have tried have never been dry or tough! That is a good sign of some quality cooking. The duck, which I’m no fan of duck was surprisingly delicious, the Pork tender loin had great flavors but the Steak, that was fantastic! It was a perfectly marinated soft cut of filet with Lime, salt and pepper dipping sauce. I could have order an extra steak!

As for drinks and sweets. Em Oi seriously does deserts just right. I haven’t had one desert there that I did not like, but I can also same the same about each dish so far. Back to the sweets, I ordered the Kiwi, passion fruit tea. It was a light, refreshing and a summery tea. That was then paired with papaya bread pudding, ordered by my wife. I’ll be honest I don’t like bread pudding but this was good and I’d order it next time. Now the most dangerous desert I probably have ever had were the cream puff donuts with trio dipping sauces! Let me just say, we ordered one more plate it was so delightful! Beside warm donuts with a light cream filling, dipping them in a peanut/caramel, passion fruit and chocolate/coffee dip was just a genius idea! All of the flavors worked so well together.

Now unfortunately, I did not snap any pictures of the food as I was to consumed by the flavors I could not stop eating but hey, there is always next time! Get the donuts!!!

Great food, great service... I had the papaya salad, sooo good..the I had the cat fish, cooked Tom perfection and the aromas... great dish.... for dessert we had the papaya pudding, very good, didn't taste much papaya, but between the coconut and the caraway with a hint of ginger..was amazing... first time in this place, but most definitely not the last.

The restaurant was very clean, servers were attentive and the food was good! Prices are a bit more expensive for the portion size, but it was tasty! The decor is nice and very hipster.

Absolutely great place. I work a few doors down and finally tried the restaurant today. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked pork belly! I also got their Vietnamese coffee while I waited for my meal and it was by far the best cup of coffee I've ever had. I even went back later that night for another cup! The prices were great and the environment is very relaxing. To top off the amazing experience and what really pushed it over the edge was the superb customer service!
