Ok, the chef needs to be smacked in the face on how good this is. Man why isn't he duplicated in soul food all around.
I came fully prepared to buy a whiting dinner but was told they wouldn’t roll out their full menu til next week as they are still in the beginning phases at this new location. The ladies working the cashier were lovely and courteous. I settled for the smothered pork chop with cabbage and rice and gravy. The pork chop was hugeee and delicious. The cabbage was delicious. The rice was a bit mushy. A bit disappointed in the size of the sides - especially if the a la carte portions are selling for almost $5 each. (I would rather have a smaller pork chop if it meant I could have bigger sides). Overall it was a good meal and I can’t wait to come back and try the peach cobbler and whiting meal.
The fried catfish was fantastic. Macaroni and cheese was delicious. And the cornbread is heavenly
Everything was on point. The green had heat but not to much. The catfish reminded me of the church platers from New York. but the cornbread is one of the best I have ever had. It was moist in and out not dry or soggy. One of my customers told me about it and it was true. I will be taking my family down soon.
