Thik and juicy

Thik and juicy reliably comes to the Mt Vernon Triangle farmers market in DC on Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm, and after probably our 4th or 5th time dining with them, I decided it was time to write a review. Every time we get food from them, not only is the it unfailingly flavorful, they are always warm and welcoming when greeting us. This week we got the Caribbean jerk chicken (a favorite of ours that we’ve gotten before and will get again) and the Thai Curry shrimp which is a weekly special. The shrimp blew our minds with how balanced the spices in the curry were, and how juicy and cooked to perfection the shrimp was. We also love to get their donuts, every flavor is unique, and they are the perfect size for a sweet treat after your savory meal. Hands down the best Caribbean fusion food in the DMV, if you get a chance to try them out, do yourself a favor and grab a plate! :)

The Caribbean jerk yellowtail tuna was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life! Perfectly seared to medium rare, amazing flavors, over perfect purple rice. Finishing it with crispy, dense pandan, chai pumpkin, and chestnut buttersquash donuts was the cherry on top. I wish I could try literally everything on the menu because it speaks to all the flavors I love so much, combining them so amazingly. Would love to come back again and again!

I ordered the Taiwanese fried chicken, and while the flavor was good, they did not clean the chicken, and every bite was full of fat.

Had my second order. This time, I spaced it out so it will last a little longer............ Oh well, that didn't work. At least I don't have to cook later. Excellent!!!

I don't usually share reviews, but feel like it is my responsibility to share we got food poisoning from this food at the mosaic district farmers market! It was delicious so I'm sad to write this.
