Yen's Kitchen is one of our go-to places for lunch at work. The food is consistently good and the little things that they do show that they care about their food and the customers. When we order fried food, sesame fish or eggplant which are my favorites, they will leave the lid off of the container and put it in a paper bag with the top open to let the steam escape. This makes it super crispy even when we are not dining in. Also, I can always tell the food was fried in clean oil because the batter is beautiful light yellow color. The co-workers also love the sushi from here as well.
Thank you for actually caring about the food you serve, Yen's Kitchen!
Great experience! We arrived close to closing and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The mango tea was wonderful on a cold evening! We also had sushi and chicken which were fabulous!
Amazing authentic Taiwanese food and very friendly staff! Made us feel welcome even though we came into the restaurant close to when they were closing. Highly recommend!
My mom and I needed something warm and tasty after a long flight in from Dulles on a bitter cold night. From the map, I wasn’t sure what to think of this little place surrounded by other lunch spots and business parks, but the reviews were so good so we gave it a shot. We first noticed that the interior is decorated so beautifully, with beautiful pottery and wall hangings and ceramics. Our hot tea and hot sake were served in beautiful earthenware, so gorgeous that we took pictures. It’s also sparkling clean. The staff was SO attentive and friendly and welcoming. We felt like old friends: they treated us like we’re old neighborhood customers. The general tso’s chicken, the won ton soup, the Thai noodles, and especially the SALMON AVOCADO ROLL were so so SO good. The roll had a generous portion of salmon with perfectly cooked sushi rice and ripe avocado. They also served delicious custard rolls for dessert, on the house. The price was more than fair for the true feasts we had. We were sad to leave and are enjoying writing this review to relive the experience. I don’t usually review restaurants but I feel so strongly that this awesome little place deserves the attention.
Delicious. I was so surprised by the great presentation of my take out lunch meal and even more so by the contents in it. From the salad to the main course the expectations did not falter. Probably the best Chinese food I've had in a very long time. Also the pot-stickers were phenomenal!! I will be back for many lunches to come
