Great place to get some soul food and the chicken is halal! My favorites were the halal party wings and the southern yams. The yams were perfectly seasoned (not too sweet). I chose mumbo sauce and blue cheese dressing with my wings. The catfish was good also, but I prefer other flavors in the seasoning other than just salt. The Cajun fries were enjoyable as well. Plan to go back to try the Mac n cheese. The owner came out to speak to us, and he was a kind soul.

This place is by far one one the best black owned soul food places ive been to in the area! So much flavor and its fresh! TEN OUTTA TEN DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! Didnt even leave the parking lot without wanting to go back in and try the rest of the menu. We will definitely be back for more 😋

Friendly people, great food well seasoned and well made. If you’re looking for some real food that’s made with passion and love this is definitely the place.

Came for lunch on Thursday afternoon. Ordered Catfish, Whiting, ribs and sides. My faves were the Catfish and okra. So so good. Super crispy, tender on the inside and seasoned well.
Hubby enjoyed his ribs and cornbread. Whiting was good but the catfish is the showstopper. Will be back to try the wings and shrimp soon.
The owner is THE nicest guy; Evans is the chef and owner and super passionate about the quality of the food and the customer experience. I hope more people try this place out!

The food was sooo good! The fried chicken was perfect, wasn’t too salty. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Same with the collard greens. The cornbread was perfectly moist and great. The hush puppies were also perfect. I was late picking up my food and happy when the food was still hot by the time I got home. Great food and service, will be back next week😉
