Lola's

They take the standard Mexican lunch and take it up a notch. The standard sides of rice and beans have a fresh-cooked character that sets them above the competition. The lunch menu also includes favorites like fajitas and the chorri pollo in half-sized, lunch-appropriate portions. A cozy, comfortable atmosphere and a refreshing color scheme rounds this out as the best Mexican place in the neighborhood and one of the top two in town.

Always great, fresh food quickly and at a good price. Service is always excellent as well. Kids love the rice pyramids!

Lola's takes the traditional East Coast Mexican restaurant formula and turns it slightly more authentic. The food is cooked very well. Everything on the menu is familiar, but done a level above what you'd get anywhere else.

My only gripe is the staff. They are not elevated. Instead they have the same indifference and lack of personality that you usually find. In a normal Mexican restaurant you don't really notice this as you're just there for the cheap food and margaritas. But at Lola's it's more pronounced. Not bad, just noticeable.

Lola's is a great lunch stop. The lunch fajitas are great and include guacamole. The chips are good and the salsa is fine. They're stingy with the salsa but bring extra when requested. The only downside to this restaurant is exiting the parking lot to the left is tough to do at lunch.
