Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

Always love going here on Sundays. This was my first date with my future husband! Hibachi or sushi/sashimi dining, but you can get either one in either dining area. Haven't tried other places, because I got the right place on the first try! Sundays are half off sushi, but it's just as good as any other day of the week. They have this discussion called "sushi nachos," which is basically spicy mayo, crab meat, and some other things on a Pringle. Five of those per plate! Surprisingly really good. They have everything from salmon to squid, urchin to tuna, and my favorite is the eel! They have two special eel rolls, and they even have a special roll named after Liberty. Though, I wish the liberty roll had more in it, it's kind of plain.

Wasabi has a nice Hibachi style grill. It's worth the price if you are eating at the actual grill and not the dining area. I've heard the professional chefs cook at the grills and the "chefs in training" make the food for the dining area. So if you've had a bad experience with the food then that is probably why. There is also 1/2 sushi on Sundays so it's nice to take advantage of that and try new things.

Wonderful birthday celebration! Our party of six had a fun time and the food was delicious! We had scallops, shrimp, steak, and chicken and everyone was happy! The ten year old birthday boy said it was his best birthday ever! Our chef, Na Na, was funny and very entertaining. Our multi generational party had a wonderful evening.

Restaurant was packed out for Valentine's dinner but we were seated quickly as we had a reservation. Oscar did an outstanding job of cooking and interacting with us. Very polite. Lots of food so we had leftovers to take home. The owner delivered our Sushi to the table. He was very welcoming as well.
