Good food and service. I also like that the location is almost right by the water. I had the burger with bacon and a fried egg. The fried egg was cooked perfectly so the center was runny, just as it should be on a burger. I'll have to try the salad bar next time. It had a lot of variety and was very fresh looking!

I will not ever tell anyone how I hate the Lamplighter, as there is nothing to hate.

That restaurant has been around for many years, is reasonably priced, and it has good food for the money.

Plus you can get to it by boat, if you know your way around Clarkesville, VA and the Kerr Lake area.

This is a nice restaurant/bar and the food and service is good. They have had a makeover and when I first went in after I had a chicken sandwich which was fantastic, however on the next visit it was off the menu. I still enjoy going but menu changes, especially when something like that was so good, makes me drop a star. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed, I prefer the bar area, some may prefer their restaurant with tables and booths.

Awesome food, and the people who work there are awesome. Loved the atmosphere as much as I enjoyed my meal. Would definitely go again.

We parked the boat at the ramp and sat in the bar area. The guy there was awesome and so friendly! We just got a couple apps and some wine. We tried the crab dip because he said it was a favorite. It was pretty delicious. I discovered it was great with cocktail sauce on top of it. A little tip to try.
We also had steamed shrimp that was my favorite. The shrimp was big and seasoned wonderfully. My only regret was not getting a full pound.
Wine was good. Service was spectacular. Atmosphere is interesting, with some upgrading probably needed but it's a typical look for a waterside eatery.
